Cyclonaire Enhances Efficiency for Belt Railway of Chicago

Posted June 29, 2016

Belt Railway of ChicagoTo illustrate our breadth of experience within the rail industry, Cyclonaire developed a new case study showcasing the work we did for the Belt Railway Company of Chicago.

Today, the Belt Railway of Chicago is  owned by six railroads: Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific Railway, CSX Transportation,  Norfolk Southern Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad. The Belt Railway expands across more than 800 miles of track, including over 300 miles of switching track, over 250 miles in the Clearing Yards, and 28 miles of mainline through track. Simply put, the Belt Railway of Chicago is not only the nation’s largest switching terminal, but the busiest as well.

Belt Railway of ChicAfter their pneumatic sand distribution system began requiring constant maintenance, Belt Railway turned to Cyclonaire for a reliable and efficient pneumatic solution.
