This October, professionals in various industries gather to celebrate Manufacturing Day—an assortment of collaborative sessions and workshops that inspire future generations of engineers, welders, and craftsmen. Manufacturing (MFG) Day—which occurs on the first Friday in October—gives these professionals a unique opportunity to open their doors to the public.IMG_4655

MFG Day is more than just a distinctive annual event; it allows diverse specialists to address and dispel common misperceptions about the industry and its practices. Additionally, it sheds light on critical issues affecting the modern manufacturing industry.

Today, one of the most pressing industry issues is the lack of skilled employees. The United States is known throughout the world for its contributions to the industrial trade; as such, it is our responsibility to continue encouraging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs in schools.

In addition to providing today’s youth with a well-rounded education, STEM programs help nurture students as they work toward careers in engineering.

At Cyclonaire, our manufacturing experience dates back to the early 1960s. Our original invention—created by Roe Black of Nebraska—consisted of a single blower and venturi, and it was used to vacuum load and discharge pressure tanks for conveying applications. Over 40 years later, our capabilities have greatly progressed, and we are now a leading manufacturing of pneumatic conveying systems and related components.

Cyclonaire is a strong supporter of Manufacturing Day. Moreover, our entire team hopes this year’s event is successful in helping future generations achieve their goals in the manufacturing industry.
